Airline rail with piping groove - 1.0 meter
The one-meter-long airline rail with piping groove is suitable for accommodating piping, which is often used to attach awnings, flexible sun canopies, or tarpaulins.
The piping groove in the airline rail allows the awning or sun canopy to be securely attached to the vehicle, and the airline rail can be used for additional fastening options.
The diameter of the piping groove is 8 mm, and the piping opening is 3 mm. Piping with a minimum diameter of 4 mm and a maximum diameter of 7.5 mm is recommended
.
Our piping rail is made of uncoated aluminum. We also offer anodized versions on request.
In addition, the rail is undrilled. It can be drilled at the desired points or glued without drilling.
There is a wide adhesive bead on the underside for gluing the airline rail. We recommend Sikaflex 554 - black or Sikaflex 554 white.
End caps: The rail can be ordered with matching end caps (left and right), which are available as an option. The keder groove remains accessible even when the end cap is mounted, as the groove in the end cap is open.

Load capacities of the airline rail - Keder rail
The airline lashing rail can be used in conjunction with single stud, automotive, and double stud fittings in accordance with DIN 75410, ISO 27955, and ISO 27956.
With the Quattro stud fitting, the airline rail can even be used in accordance with DIN EN 12640 up to 1000 daN.
Airline rails are used in conjunction with locking bars, lashing straps, or end fittings to secure loads.

Fastening of the airline rail

It is essential that the airline rail is adequately fastened to the substrate!
The maximum load capacity of the airline rail depends on the following factors:
Not only the strength, material properties and, depending on the fastening, the surface is decisive for the load capacity; the type of fitting used is also of great importance.
If the airline rail is to be screwed in place, we strongly recommend that you follow the installation guidelines provided by the manufacturer, allsafe.
These state that
countersunk screws must be set at a distance of 75 mm for airline rails with a metric grid spacing of 25 mm!
Screws with a strength of at least 10.9 must be used, with washers and self-locking nuts. Since the use of nuts and washers is often not possible in vehicle construction, rivet nuts or threaded anchor nuts are used as an alternative.
The airline rail as a light profile is usually fastened with M5 countersunk screws.
Another fastening option is gluing.
This airline rail is not pre-drilled and can therefore be glued with Sikaflex 554, for example, or drilled at the desired points.
We only recommend riveting or fastening with other head screws to a limited extent, as the protruding rivet head or screw head makes it impossible to insert the end fittings; more precisely, the slot nuts cannot be pushed through.
The installer of the load securing equipment is responsible for the installation and the resulting possible load!
