Description

The 0.5-meter-long airline rail with a piping groove is the ideal solution for vehicle and camper conversions. It enables the secure attachment of awnings, sun canopies, or tarpaulins and also serves as a stable airline rail for securing loads.

The integrated keder groove allows the awning or sun canopy to be securely attached to the vehicle. In addition, the airline rail can be used for various fastening options such as lashing straps or retaining systems.

The diameter of the piping groove is 8 mm, the piping opening 3 mm. The rail is suitable for piping from 4 to 7.5 mm.

Made of high-quality, uncoated aluminum (also available in anodized finish), this keder rail impresses with its low weight, high tensile strength, and easy installation. It is undrilled and can be drilled individually or securely bonded with Sikaflex 554 (black or white) thanks to the wide adhesive bead on the underside.

End caps: Matching end caps for left and right are available as an option. The piping groove remains accessible even when the end cap is mounted, as it continues to be open.

Fastening the airline rail 🔩

The maximum load capacity depends largely on the fastening and the substrate. The manufacturer's guidelines should be observed during installation:

Use countersunk screws spaced 75 mm apart (with 25 mm grid spacing)
Use screws with a minimum strength of 10.9 with washers and self-locking nuts
Alternatively, rivet nuts or anchor nuts can be used
Standard fastening with M5 countersunk head screws
Alternatively, the rail can be securely bonded with Sikaflex 554

Fastening with rivets or screws with protruding heads is not recommended, as they can interfere with the insertion of end fittings or slotted nuts.

Note: The respective installer of the load securing system is responsible for installation and loading.
