Tall vehicles such as the Mercedes Sprinter place special demands on comfort and safety when getting in and out of the vehicle on a daily basis. This fully automatic electric step for the right front door (passenger side) has been specially developed for Sprinter models with all-wheel drive and ensures safe, comfortable access – completely automatically and almost invisibly while driving.

Electric step for the right front door of the Mercedes Sprinter (AWD)

The step extends automatically when the right front door is opened and provides a stable surface to step on. After the door is closed, it retracts automatically back under the vehicle and does not affect ground clearance or the vehicle's appearance.

Please note: This version is only suitable for Mercedes Sprinters with all-wheel drive (AWD). Front-wheel drive vehicles (type 910) are not compatible.

Integrated obstacle detection

Automatic obstacle detection monitors the swivel range of the step. If resistance is detected, the extension process stops immediately to prevent damage to the vehicle, step, or surroundings.

LED illumination of the entry area

An integrated LED light ensures even illumination of the step area in the dark. This increases safety when getting in and out of the vehicle – especially in poor lighting or weather conditions.

TÜV and registration exemption

Side-retractable steps are not considered relevant to the vehicle width according to EC Directive 97/27 and therefore do not usually need to be entered in the vehicle documents.

The installation does not invalidate the operating license in accordance with § 19 (2) StVZO and does not usually require approval in accordance with § 21 StVZO.

Only for all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles
Not suitable for front-wheel drive Type 910
Not compatible with Achleitner or IGLHAUT all-wheel drive conversions
Due to its design, the step is slightly slanted at an angle of approx. 10–15° when extended
Also suitable for vehicles with Webasto parking heater
