Electric and manual side steps for sliding doors

Our side steps are available in different versions: electric, mechanical, or manually extendable. Particularly popular are the fully automatic steps, which extend automatically when the sliding door is opened, at the touch of a button, or with a kick. They ensure quick, safe, and comfortable entry without having to bend down or make any additional movements.

Electric steps for sliding doors:
The cassette steps and swivel steps offer high load capacity and reliability. Our SCE series in particular can withstand loads of up to 500 kg and is often used in extreme conditions, such as those required in the military. The cassette protects the step from dirt and weather influences.

The E1 cassette step is a German quality product equipped with LED lighting that makes getting in safer in the dark. With a slip resistance rating of R13 according to DIN 75078-1, a duplex coating, CE marking, and ECE-R10 certification, this step offers exceptional durability and resistance to chemicals such as oil and brake fluid. It is also UV-resistant, temperature-stable, and tested for 1,000,000 steps.

ETB swivel step – the highlight for tall vehicles

The ETB swivel step is a fully automatic step that has been specially developed for high vehicles such as Mercedes Sprinters, VW Crafters, or motorhomes based on panel vans. The step swivels downwards, providing an ergonomic entry height that is easy on the joints and back. With the additional LED lighting, the step area is optimally illuminated even in the dark, reducing the risk of injury.

Extendable and rigid rear steps for vans

For Sprinter-class vehicles, we offer extendable rear steps that can be used in conjunction with many trailer couplings. When not in use, the step can be easily pushed under the vehicle. A rigid rear step is a cost-effective alternative. It is hot-dip galvanized and suitable for easy access to large vehicles without a trailer coupling. However, it cannot be used in conjunction with trailer couplings.

Registration and operating license
The installation of a step does not invalidate the operating license in accordance with § 19.2 StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations), and no additional approval/registration in accordance with § 21 StVZO is required. According to EC Regulation 661/2009, steps at the rear of the vehicle are not included in the vehicle length when measuring. Side-retractable steps may also be excluded from the measurement of the vehicle width in accordance with EC Directive 97/27.

For our rigid steps in the ST series (non-retractable), either a parts certificate is supplied or individual approval is required, as the vehicle width changes.
