The Ford Connect III from May 2022 onwards combines compact exterior dimensions with a cargo area designed for everyday commercial use. Whether used by tradespeople, service companies or delivery operators, the space between and around the wheel arches is often used intensively.
These vehicle-specific wheel arch covers made from 3 mm ABS plastic protect the projecting wheel arches inside the cargo compartment. Two vehicle lengths are covered: the compact L1 and the longer L2. The correct version can be identified using the vehicle dimensions below.
Which wheel arch covers fit my Ford Connect III?
In short: These wheel arch covers are designed for the Ford Connect III from May 2022 onwards and are available for both L1 and L2. L1 has a wheelbase of 2,755 mm and an overall vehicle length of 4,500 mm, while L2 has a wheelbase of 2,970 mm and an overall length of 4,853 mm. The set includes two flexible, UV-resistant 3 mm ABS covers for the left and right wheel arches.
Ford Connect III L1 or L2 – identify the correct vehicle length
Before selecting the wheel arch covers, it is important to determine whether your Ford Connect III is the shorter L1 or the longer L2 version.
Wheelbase, cargo length and overall vehicle length provide useful reference points for identifying the correct vehicle:

If you are unsure whether your Connect is an L1 or L2, compare the vehicle dimensions before selecting the corresponding wheel arch cover version.
Protect exposed wheel arches in the cargo area
In a compact commercial vehicle, available cargo space is particularly valuable. Toolboxes, parcels, equipment and transport containers are often loaded close to the sides of the vehicle, making the projecting wheel arches exposed points within the cargo compartment.
The shaped ABS covers fit over the left and right wheel arches and create an additional protective layer between these areas and the cargo.
This makes the wheel arch covers particularly useful for Connect models that are regularly loaded and unloaded during everyday commercial use.
3 mm ABS plastic – flexible and UV-resistant
The wheel arch covers are made from 3 mm ABS plastic. The material is flexible and UV-resistant.
The set contains two vehicle-specific covers – one for the left and one for the right wheel arch.
They can be installed as standalone wheel arch protection or used as an addition to existing interior lining. The covers do not replace a cargo floor, side wall lining or any required load-securing equipment.

Designed for everyday commercial use
The Ford Connect III is particularly useful where a compact vehicle still needs to provide a practical working cargo area. The wheel arch covers are therefore suitable for a wide range of commercial applications, including:
-
Trade and installation vehicles carrying tools and materials
-
Service vehicles with equipment and storage systems
-
Courier and delivery vehicles with frequently changing cargo
-
Fleet vehicles used for daily transport operations
Protecting the wheel arches can be especially useful when boxes, tools or equipment are regularly moved through the cargo compartment.
Combine with an existing cargo area conversion
The ABS covers can also be installed as an addition to existing interior lining.
If a cargo floor or side wall lining is already fitted while the wheel arches remain exposed, the covers can be added separately, provided that there is sufficient access around the wheel arches.
If shelving, cabinets or other permanent vehicle equipment is already installed, check the available installation space beforehand.
Installation by clamping, screwing or bonding
Depending on the individual installation situation, the wheel arch covers can be fitted by clamping, screwing or bonding.
The most suitable fixing method depends on the existing or planned cargo area conversion and the components surrounding the wheel arches.
Installation note:
The required installation hardware is not included. Screws, adhesive or other fixings must be selected to suit the chosen installation method and the individual vehicle conversion.
Practical tip: use the dimensions to distinguish L1 from L2
If you are unsure whether your Ford Connect III is an L1 or L2, the vehicle dimensions provide a straightforward way to check.
The L1 has a 2,755 mm wheelbase, while the L2 has a 2,970 mm wheelbase. The overall vehicle lengths of 4,500 mm and 4,853 mm provide an additional reference.
A quick check before ordering is considerably easier than discovering afterwards that your Connect has gained 353 mm somewhere along the way. 😄
