Product description – Motorcycle retaining strap for handlebars
The handlebar strap is supplied in white to reliably prevent discoloration or abrasion on the motorcycle. In addition, a black fleece protector is attached in the center to protect sensitive areas of the handlebars and reduce pressure points.
The strap consists of two approx. 90 cm long strap ends. Each side has a retaining loop for the motorcycle handlebars. On the opposite side, there are two sturdy tabs into which a lashing strap can be securely hooked.
Combination with lashing strap for securing motorcycles
The motorcycle retaining strap is used in combination with a tension strap. While the handlebar strap forms a paint-friendly attachment point on the motorcycle, the lashing strap takes over the actual pre-tensioning and fixing to lashing eyes or in the vehicle.
An automatic lashing strap or a lashing strap with a lockable plastic hook is particularly suitable for this application. This combination enables safe, even force distribution and prevents direct metal contact on the handlebars.
Material and properties
The motorcycle retaining strap is made of polyester (PES). Polyester lashing straps are characterized by a controlled elongation of approx. 7 percent and are therefore particularly well suited for securing loads in road traffic.
With a load capacity of 200 daN, the retaining strap is optimally designed for use as a connecting element between the motorcycle and the lashing strap.
