Tools, materials, parcels and transport containers may be neatly organised inside the Citroën Jumpy from 2016, but every item still has to pass through the rear of the vehicle when it is loaded or unloaded. This is exactly where cargo can repeatedly come into contact with the rear bumper during everyday work.
The vehicle-specific aluminium rear bumper protector for the Citroën Jumpy covers this exposed area of the rear bumper. It can provide additional protection for a bumper that is still in good condition or conceal existing scratches and damage within the area covered by the protector.
Six different surface finishes are available. All versions are made from 1.5 mm aluminium, feature a folded edge and are attached using the special adhesive tape applied to the rear.
Which bumper protector fits the Citroën Jumpy?
In short: This aluminium rear bumper protector is designed for the Citroën Jumpy from 2016. All six versions are made from 1.5 mm aluminium and feature a folded edge. Installation is carried out using special adhesive tape on the rear of the protector, so no drilling or screws are required.
The final part of the cargo journey
When organising a commercial vehicle, most attention naturally goes to the cargo area itself: Where should the tool cases go? How should materials and containers be arranged? How much space needs to remain available for changing loads?
During unloading, however, almost everything has to pass through one final area. Before tools, materials or parcels reach their destination, they must be lifted or pulled out of the cargo area and across the rear section of the Jumpy.
This is where the rear bumper can unintentionally become a brief resting or contact point. A container may be set down for a moment while it is being lifted out, a box may be pulled towards the rear before it is picked up, or an item may touch the loading edge while being lowered to the ground.
The aluminium bumper protector is positioned exactly at this transition between the cargo area and the outside of the vehicle, covering the exposed bumper section with an aluminium surface.
Typical contact during loading and unloading
Where the loading edge comes into play during everyday work
| Situation |
Contact with the rear area |
| Lifting out boxes |
The underside of a box may touch the loading edge as it moves from the cargo area to the outside. |
| Pulling out materials |
When cargo is pulled towards the rear, its path passes directly over the rear bumper area. |
| Handling tools & equipment |
The rear area may briefly become a contact point when an item is repositioned or gripped. |
| Loading the vehicle |
The same rear area is crossed again when cargo is loaded back into the vehicle. |
Protection for good bumpers – coverage for existing marks
You do not have to wait until the rear bumper already shows obvious signs of use before fitting a protector. If the bumper is still in good condition, the aluminium cover provides additional protection for the covered area during future loading and unloading.
If the Jumpy has already completed plenty of working journeys, the protector can serve a second purpose: scratches and damage located within the covered area can be concealed underneath the aluminium surface.
This makes the protector suitable both for vehicles where the rear bumper is still well maintained and for working Jumpy vans that already show some evidence of everyday loading.
Six finishes in 1.5 mm aluminium
The bumper protector is available in six different versions. Every version is made from 1.5 mm aluminium; the differences are in the design and appearance of the visible surface.

Chequer plate, stainless-steel look or grooves?
As the material and thickness are identical across all six versions, the choice can primarily be based on the appearance you prefer.
Aluminium chequer plate provides the classic technical appearance associated with commercial vehicles and is also available with silver or black anodised finishes.
For a more understated surface, you can choose brushed aluminium with a stainless-steel look. This version is also made from aluminium – “stainless-steel look” refers only to the appearance of the brushed surface.
Matt silver anodised and black anodised aluminium versions with machined grooves provide two further alternatives.
Folded edge for additional coverage
The bumper protector is supplied with a folded edge. This extends the aluminium cover beyond the upper surface to include the adjoining section of the loading edge.
This is particularly relevant at the transition where items are lifted or lowered between the cargo area and the outside of the vehicle.
Self-adhesive installation without drilling
A high-quality self-adhesive special tape is applied to the rear of the protector. This is used to attach the aluminium bumper protector to the intended area of the rear bumper.
No drilling or screws are required.
Important before installation:
Please read the installation instructions under “Technical Details” completely before fitting the protector and follow the specified requirements.

Practical tip: Think backwards when unloading
When organising a cargo area, it is natural to think from the vehicle inwards. For a bumper protector, it is useful to reverse that perspective: Which route does the cargo take when it comes out?
If that route regularly passes across the rear bumper area, it becomes easy to see why signs of use can develop there. The bumper protector does not protect the entire journey of the cargo – but it covers the area that items may pass during their final few centimetres out of the Jumpy.

Protection between the cargo area and the road
Tools, materials and other cargo spend most of the journey inside the vehicle. During loading and unloading, however, they have to pass across the rear section of the Citroën Jumpy from 2016 – exactly where the aluminium bumper protector can do its job.
The 1.5 mm aluminium cover provides additional protection for the covered bumper area during continued use and can conceal existing signs of wear within its surface. Six different finishes also allow you to choose the appearance that suits your vehicle.
Thanks to the special adhesive tape on the rear, installation requires no drilling or screws.
