The Renault Trafic from 2014 has been used for many years as a transport, trades and service van. In everyday working use, the rear bumper is one of the areas where regular loading and unloading can gradually leave visible marks: toolboxes are removed, materials are pulled from the cargo area and transport containers repeatedly pass across the rear loading area.
The vehicle-specific aluminium rear bumper protector for the Renault Trafic provides an additional cover for this frequently used area of the bumper. It can be fitted early, before the first signs of use appear, but is equally suitable for retrofitting if scratches or other marks are already present and can be concealed within the area covered by the protector.
Six different surface finishes are available. All versions are made from 1.5 mm aluminium, feature a folded edge and are attached using the special adhesive tape applied to the rear.
Which bumper protector fits the Renault Trafic?
In short: This aluminium rear bumper protector is designed for the Renault Trafic from 2014. All six available surface finishes are made from 1.5 mm aluminium and feature a folded edge. Installation is carried out using special adhesive tape on the rear of the protector, so no drilling or screws are required.
The loading edge is part of almost every working day
On a commercially used van, visible marks on the bumper do not necessarily result from one major impact. More often, they develop gradually through the many routine loading and unloading operations carried out over time.
On the Renault Trafic, the rear bumper is positioned directly where tools, materials, parcels and transport containers move between the cargo area and the outside. When items are lifted, pulled out, turned or repositioned, they can briefly come into contact with the bumper area.
The bumper protector provides an additional aluminium cover for this frequently used part of the vehicle.
One Trafic generation – different stages of working life
As this generation of the Renault Trafic has been in use since 2014, individual vehicles can now be at very different stages of their working life. On a newer or well-preserved van, preventative protection may be the main priority, while an older Trafic may already have completed many years of commercial service.
Using a bumper protector at different stages of vehicle life
| Situation |
How the bumper protector can be used |
| Bumper still in good condition |
The frequently used area can be covered with the aluminium protector at an early stage. |
| First signs of use are visible |
Marks within the covered area can be concealed underneath the bumper protector. |
| Trafic already in service for several years |
The bumper protector can also be retrofitted later as a practical addition. |
| Regular loading and unloading |
The covered bumper area receives additional protection during future loading operations. |
Prevent damage or cover existing signs of use
The right time to fit a bumper protector does not depend solely on the age of the vehicle. On a well-preserved Renault Trafic, the aluminium cover can be installed before typical loading and unloading marks begin to appear.
If the bumper is already scratched, retrofitting can still be useful. Existing signs of use can be concealed if they are located within the area covered by the bumper protector.
This makes the protector suitable both for vehicles at an earlier stage of their working life and for a Trafic that has already provided years of reliable commercial service.

From classic chequer plate to a brushed finish
As the base material and material thickness are the same for all six versions, the choice can primarily be based on the appearance you prefer.
The classic aluminium chequer plate provides a typical technical appearance. Silver anodised and black anodised chequer plate versions are also available.
For a more understated appearance, there is brushed aluminium with a stainless-steel look. This version is also made entirely from aluminium – “stainless-steel look” refers only to the appearance of the surface.
The range is completed by matt silver anodised and black anodised aluminium versions with machined grooves.
Folded edge for additional protection
The aluminium bumper protector for the Renault Trafic features a folded edge for additional protection around the loading edge.
This complements the aluminium cover in an area of the vehicle that is regularly used during everyday loading and unloading.
Self-adhesive installation without drilling or screws
A high-quality self-adhesive special tape is applied to the rear of the bumper protector. This is used to attach the aluminium cover to the intended area of the rear bumper.
No drilling or screws are required.
Important before installation:
Please read the installation instructions under “Technical Details” completely before fitting the protector and follow the specified requirements.

Practical tip: Look beyond the age of the van
Whether a bumper protector is useful cannot be determined by the age of the Renault Trafic alone. What matters more is how frequently the rear loading area is used.
A newer Trafic with many loading operations every day may see more activity around the rear bumper than an older vehicle that is only loaded occasionally. If tools, materials, boxes or other cargo regularly pass through the rear of the van, the actual loading routine is therefore a better guide than the model year alone.
