The aluminum checker plate transporter floor for the MAN TGE L5 from model year 2017 onwards has been specially developed for vehicles with an extra-long wheelbase and large loading volume. In this vehicle class, a particularly robust and resilient floor is extremely important in order to permanently protect the original vehicle floor from heavy use and mechanical wear.

The CNC-milled transporter floor for MAN TGE L5 is manufactured specifically for each vehicle and offers a precisely fitting loading area for a wide range of transport and work requirements. The combination of sturdy birch plywood and a 1.5–2.0 mm thick aluminum checker plate surface ensures a slip-resistant, durable surface that functions reliably even with frequent and heavy load changes.

The transporter floor panels are supplied in several parts to enable a uniformly load-bearing, precisely fitting loading area even in longer cargo compartments.
Material structure of the aluminum checker plate floor panel
The transporter floor is available in 9 mm or 12 mm thickness. The screen-printed floor made of birch plywood is phenolic resin-bonded in accordance with EN 312-2 / Class 3 and is characterized by high stability and moisture resistance.
A durable aluminum checker plate layer with a quintet structure is applied on top. This not only ensures increased slip resistance, but also a long service life – even with intensive use in everyday work.
Installation & fastening in the vehicle
The floor is laid from the front to the rear of the vehicle. The panel segments are screwed together to create a stable loading area with no visible transitions after installation. The screw connections are barely visible after installation and do not interfere with the cargo area.
The lashing recesses included in the scope of delivery are placed in the designated recesses and secured with the original lashing eyes of the MAN TGE. For particularly wide vehicle variants, a light adhesive can be applied between the body and the floor panel to reduce any vibrations.
Optional: Airline rails for professional load securing
Airline rails can be installed as an option for flexible and professional load securing. The floor panel is milled to fit precisely and the rails are permanently glued in place.
The airline rails are each 1.20 meters long and are particularly suitable for use with locking bars or lashing straps. Please note that this option is only available with 9 mm thick floor panels. Other lengths or positions are available on request.
