New - electric rear step for Ford Transit from model year 2014

From now on, we also offer the electric and fully automatic rear step for the Ford Transit from model year 2014 onwards.

Thanks to its swivel mechanism, the rear step is particularly suitable for vehicles with a high entrance, as is the case with vehicles with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. However, this step can also be fitted to the Ford Transit with front-wheel drive.

The step makes loading and unloading or getting in and out easier and is easy on the back and joints.

With a width of 840 mm, a step depth of 160 mm and a load capacity of 240 kg, this step is ideally equipped for heavy-duty use.

For safe access at night, the LED lighting supports you by automatically illuminating the area around the step when the door is extended.

Installation of the fully automatic rear step

The rear step is supplied with a mounting kit configured for the vehicle.
The existing mounting points on the vehicle are used for installation. It is not necessary to drill into the vehicle body.
The installation time is specified as 5 - 8 hours, depending on the vehicle equipment and installation experience.

Please note that the step must be demonstrably installed by a workshop, as the warranty expires on all electrical parts if you install it yourself.

TÜV Registration of the electric rear step

In accordance with EC Directive 97/27, retractable rear steps do not have to be entered in the vehicle documents, as they are not taken into account when measuring the vehicle length.

The installation of a step does not constitute a waiver of the type approval according to § 19.2 StVZO and therefore does not require approval/registration according to § 21 StVZO.
