Clamping beam for load securing – versatile, reliable and flexible
The SAM 55 clamping beam for load securing is available in lengths of 1,650 - 2,100 mm or 1,850 - 2,300 mm and 2,100 - 2,550 mm. It is ideal for van-based box vans as well as
vans such as MAN TGE, Fiat Ducato, Mercedes Sprinter and other models in this vehicle class.
The compact, modular design enables quick adaptation to a wide variety of loading situations.
Construction, durability and materials
Two blue rubber strips made of robust material are located at both ends of the clamping bar and ensure a non-slip grip on different surfaces.
A patented webbing mechanism with integrated telescopic brake ensures precise tensioning force and increased durability, even in cold temperatures.
The polyester webbing material offers high tensile strength and remains flexible at low temperatures, ensuring that the SAM 55 remains functional even in freezing conditions.
The design avoids the traditional weak points of clamping beams with a toothed rack, which can be at risk of breaking in cold weather. The SAM 55 remains resilient and reliable.
Functionality and possible uses of the SAM 55 clamping beam
Adjustment range horizontal: 1,650–2,100 mm. The clamping beam can be clamped between vehicle walls and thus offers a stable transverse fastening for long or irregularly shaped loads.
Vertical adjustment range: 1,850–2,300 mm. Clamping between floor and vehicle roof enables vertical securing of high cargo loads.
The clamping beam is extended to the desired length and tensioned using a lever positioned on the side of the beam. The clamping force creates a secure clamp between the wall/vehicle ceiling and the floor.
Spring mechanism compensates for movements during travel, reduces displacement and minimizes transport damage.
Application and assembly instructions
Emphasize a secure base: When tensioning the beam, make sure that the base is stable. Never position the beam directly on metal sheets of the outer wall or between the roof beams of the vehicle.
The SAM 55 allows horizontal and vertical installation, making it ideal for a wide variety of load heights and shapes.
The SAM 55 is currently manufactured in Germany. On request, lengths of up to 2,850 mm can be realized at short notice to meet special requirements.
Additional benefits and additions
One single rod can cover all positions in the vehicle, which reduces installation work and simplifies handling.
No additional tools required for adjustment, which saves time and makes operation uncomplicated.
Temperature resistance: the strap material and mechanism remain functional even at sub-zero temperatures, which is particularly important in winter and in refrigerated vehicles.
The blue rubber surface of the footrest increases slip resistance on smooth floor coverings and at the same time protects sensitive surfaces inside the vehicle. The SAM 55 is suitable for common van models and can be harmoniously combined with other securing systems to ensure comprehensive load securing.
Care and maintenance
Regularly visually inspect the webbing for cracks or wear.
Check the webbing guide and lever for signs of wear, rust or play.
Clean with mild detergents, avoiding harsh solvents to protect the webbing and rubber.
Customer benefits in practice
Maximum flexibility when securing loads thanks to the variable tensioning range.
Reliable holding effect for a wide variety of loads, from light boxes to heavier transport goods.
Cost and time-saving thanks to tool-free adjustment and quick installation.
