Airline rail trapezoidal profile
The airline rail trapezoidal profile with a flat surface is a cross between a semi-circular profile and a corner profile.
This airline lashing rail is ideal for securing objects to the outside of the vehicle, such as rear boxes, canister holders, sand plates, or bike racks.
This airline rail is the ideal companion, especially for off-road vehicles with or without a cabin, for motorhomes with or without a rear garage, on the outside of off-road vehicles, but also in the interior of a normal transporter.
This rail is also suitable for rear garages, as furniture and other utensils can be screwed in place with screw fittings or fastened with airline fittings.
Features and shape of the airline rail with trapezoidal profile
The semicircular profile has no protruding edges. This significantly reduces the risk of injury to passers-by or people loading cargo.
The angular profile has a flat surface with a width of approx. 20 mm. Various items can be mounted or removed in no time at all.
We also offer the airline rail with trapezoidal profile in black powder-coated finish in the color RAL9005/satin matt.
Other colors such as silver gray, fire (fire department) red RAL 3000, and pine green for hunters RAL 6009 will follow.
The airline rail is manufactured in Germany by the company allsafe.
Installation of the trapezoidal rail
The particularly strong base of the airline rail not only promotes maximum stability when countersinking screws, but also offers the option of cutting threads into the rail base.
With the strong rail base and a height of 6.2 mm, it is possible to use M8 countersunk screws for fastening. This is not possible with any other airline rail without also countersinking the substrate. In addition, a thread can be cut into the rail base if required.
The airline rail is supplied without mounting holes.
This allows the rail to be glued without adhesive seeping out at the top.
There are two 11 mm wide adhesive beads on the underside of the airline rail. The grooves can easily absorb any excess adhesive. We recommend Sikaflex 554 construction adhesive.
Especially in vehicles with sandwich panels, as is often the case with motorhomes or caravans, gluing the rail has a major advantage, as screws often do not provide sufficient hold in these areas.
