History: VW T5, T6, and T6.1 at a glance

The VW T5 was introduced in 2003 as the successor to the T4 and marked a major step forward in terms of comfort and workmanship. From 2009, the revised T5.2 was equipped with modern common rail diesel engines and a slightly modified design.

With the T6 (from 2015), Volkswagen introduced the Euro 6 emissions standard. The front end was redesigned, while the cargo area remained largely unchanged. The T6.1 (since 2019) was equipped with electric power steering, a digital cockpit, numerous assistance systems, and meets the Euro 6d-Temp standard.

The VW T6.1 will remain the current model until mid-2024, when the next generation will take over. Its proven platform makes it the first choice for trades, service, and conversion even today.
