The automatic step for VW T7 Transporters from 2024 (front-wheel drive) makes getting in noticeably easier – especially when getting in and out frequently in commercial use. With a generous 975 x 248 mm tread and 250 kg load capacity, it provides a secure footing – either electrically with comfort control or mechanically, which is particularly robust and low-maintenance.
VW T7 Transporter – developed in cooperation with Ford
As part of the strategic partnership between Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Ford Pro, the new T7 Transporter has been completely redesigned. It is manufactured at the Ford plant in Kocaeli (Turkey) and shares its body structure, powertrains, and technology with the Ford Transit Custom. Despite this common basis, the T7 remains a true Volkswagen: with its own design, specific interior, and the usual high build quality.
The new Transporter offers more cargo volume, a wider sliding door, lower loading sills, and improved ergonomics in the cab. It is available with diesel, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric eTransporter powertrains, making it ideally equipped for all applications from trades to service to courier.
