Heavy-duty 6.2 mm rail base

Under suitable installation conditions, M8 countersunk screws can be recessed into the profile without having to countersink the mounting surface underneath. Depending on the thread size, application and expected loads, the material thickness can also allow threads to be tapped directly into the rail base.
Bonding or bolting the trapezoidal Airline Rail?
The rails are intentionally supplied without pre-drilled mounting holes. This allows the fixing positions to be adapted to the individual vehicle and mounting surface. On suitable substrates, adhesive installation is another option.
For this purpose, the underside features two adhesive channels, each 11 mm wide and approximately 2 mm high. These provide space for the adhesive and help achieve a controlled installation.
For suitable applications, we recommend Sikaflex 554 structural adhesive.
