The ID. Buzz has been produced at the Hanover plant since 2022 and is based on the MEB platform (Modular Electric Drive Matrix). It is available as the ID. Buzz Pro for passenger transport and as the ID. Buzz Cargo for commercial applications. The electric transporter combines sustainability with utility – perfect for tradespeople, delivery services, and service providers who want to work in an environmentally conscious manner.

From the T1 to the ID. Buzz – the evolution of an iconic transporter
The first VW T1 "Bulli" was launched back in 1950 – a symbol of economic miracle, freedom, and reliability. Over generations, the T1 to T6 transporter series became an integral part of the commercial vehicle and leisure world. The ID. Buzz continues this story: same philosophy, new technology. It is the first fully electric successor to the Bulli legacy and combines classic design with state-of-the-art e-mobility – emission-free, efficient, and full of character.
VW ID. Buzz – variants, drive and areas of application
The ID. Buzz is available in two main variants: the ID. Buzz Pro (for up to 5 people) and the ID. Buzz Cargo (as a panel van with a large cargo area). Both models are powered by a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery and deliver up to 210 kW (286 hp). Rear-wheel drive comes as standard, with an all-wheel drive version (4MOTION) to be introduced as an option in 2024. Depending on the variant, the range is around 400 km (WLTP).
