Airline fittings as flexible attachment points
Airline fittings and end fittings are inserted directly into the hole pattern of a compatible Airline Rail. This allows attachment points to be positioned exactly where they are required for the load and repositioned when necessary.
Common versions include Single Stud, Double Stud and Quattro Stud fittings. They differ in their design and, among other things, in the number of rail positions they engage with.
The suitability of a fitting for a particular application should not, however, be determined solely by the number of engagement points. The specified load ratings and manufacturer's information for the individual fitting, as well as the Airline Rail and the way it is installed, must also be considered.
Tie-down straps with Airline fittings for direct load restraint
Tie-down straps with permanently attached Airline fittings provide a particularly convenient solution. They connect directly to a compatible Airline Rail, eliminating the need for separate end fittings between the rail and the strap.
Different strap widths, lengths, ratchets and end fittings are available depending on the transport application. When selecting a strap, pay particular attention to its specified LC and STF values, the type of cargo and the intended load-securing method.

Cargo bars for positive-fit load restraint
While tie-down straps are primarily used to restrain cargo by lashing, cargo bars and load lock bars can be used to block cargo by positive fit. They are inserted into compatible Airline Rails and, depending on their design and the rail arrangement, can be repositioned within the load area.
This makes them suitable, for example, for dividing load areas or helping to prevent packages and other cargo from shifting during transport.

This is where threaded fittings and sliding nuts come into play. Depending on the version, internal or external threads are available in different sizes, allowing mounting points to be positioned flexibly within the rail system.

A 25 or 25.4 mm hole spacing does not automatically mean that every threaded fitting or sliding nut will fit every Airline Rail profile. Depending on the accessory, the profile geometry, material thickness and available space inside the rail may also be important. Always check the compatibility information for the individual product before ordering.
Specialist fittings make Airline Rail systems even more versatile
In addition to conventional fittings, there are accessories for applications that cannot be covered by a standard lashing point. These include hooks, adapters, specialist end fittings and solutions for custom installations.

For load restraint, the load rating of an individual fitting is not the only factor that matters. The actual capacity of a mounting or load-securing solution depends on several components working together.
